PROJECT TYPE: Brand Design, In-house branding

ROLE: Brand Designer

TEAM: Melinda Sekela, John Howells

How can Town Hall’s brand inspire collaboration in a polarized climate?

Context:
Town Hall is a full-service marketing and advertising agency built to serve nonprofits, education, and mission-driven organizations. They needed a brand identity that reflected its mission of bringing people together for open dialogue and civic engagement. The challenge was to create a flexible visual system that could adapt to diverse communication needs, unify stakeholders under a recognizable banner, and express progressive civic values.

The Challenge:
How can Town Hall create a brand identity that breaks through public distrust and skepticism, while mobilizing communities and empowering diverse voices for open, inclusive civic dialogue?

The Opportunity:
Design a human-centered visual system that symbolizes dialogue, enabling Town Hall to repair narratives around civic engagement and build transparent, accessible communication platforms. This identity would shift focus from top-down messaging toward authentic, community-led conversations.
